Respect extends the ideal of truth to the possessions (aka property) of a human being. It is introduced because we human beings are not just "dots" in space-time but possess things, not the least our body, and require other human beings to respect this. This assurance of respect by the community (aka state) motivates us to invest into education and skilful private and professional behaviour and enables us to profit from our achievements. The stable state's rules must prevent corruption and mafia organisations from prospering so that the private, economic and state processes function properly. We define the various aspects of respect as follows:

R.1 := body-care := you and others care for and respect your own body.

R.2 := distance := keep the privacy and appropriate distance of each other’s bodies.

R.3 := politeness := appropriately greet and be polite.

We define the property for a certain amount of time of a human being as follows:

P.1 := own the body := the body

P.2 := own what you carry := what you wear, if self-made or properly acquired

P.3 := own a company share := a percentage <=100% of a company, self-created or properly acquired

And we define the property for a certain amount of time of a human being or company as follows:

P.4 := own things := real-estate, buildings and/or mobile entities and all that's contained on or in them, if self-made (except for the real-estate) or properly acquired

P.5 := own contracts := contracts with other humans or companies that may define acquisitions (aka property transfers). Contracts consist of 3 parts : 1) the "technical" content, 2) the value in money currency, 3) the time conditions of the fulfillment. In loan-contracts which are just a special form of contracts the "technical" content is also a monetised value, i.e. the lent sum; and part 2) is the interest payment(s).

P.6 := transfer property := all properly done acquisitions are "on the spot" buying/selling transactions, except "delayed" ones as specified in contracts (c.f. P.5)

P.7 := own interaction records := all data of interactions with other humans or companies or the state

Examples: we may possess things like cloths, cars, animals, money, contractual obligations, real estate, etc.

With the above definitions of property, we can continue with defining respect as:

R.4 := don't touch := possessions must not be touched nor used nor passed to others without permission of the owner

R.5 := don't damage := possessions must not be damaged nor destructed by others

R.6 := don't steal := possessions must not be stolen

Note: the principle that contracts must be fulfilled is already imposed by the law of truth (by the aspect T.1 of personal reliability to be precise).
